Welcome to Chupacabra Taqueria and Cantina, serving authentic Mexican food, fresh made Birria, homemade Margaritas in a number of flavors, live music and so much more. We are located at 155 Brighton Avenue in Long Branch, NJ. We are the best spot at the shore to grab a drink, some food and relax after a long day at the beach or working hard around the yard.     Our NEW fresh avocado salsa verde and our smoky salsa roja served with an endless supply of our house made tortilla chips

  • Steak Bite Empanadas

    Flaky pastry dough hand stuffed with Cajun blackened steak, cilantro, onions, provolone and pepper jacks cheese, then lightly fried and served with a side of spicy chipotle sauce.

    Juicy grilled chicken sautéed with onions and cilantro served on crispy corn tortillas topped with refried beans, shredded lettuce, salsa verde, pico de gallo, sour cream and queso fresco

    A pile of crispy tortilla chips topped with fresh jalapeños, onions, homemade refried beans, and shredded cheddar jack cheese then oven baked and finished with a drizzle of sour cream and a topping of pico de gallo, your choice to add chicken or seasoned ground beef

    Slices of juicy flame grilled steak & chicken breast, onions, jalapeños, and bell peppers served inside a grilled pineapple with a side of warm corn tortillas, rice & refried beans

    Your choice of asada steak, grilled chicken or pork al pastor mixed with black beans, rice, pico de gallo and sour cream then stuffed inside a warm flour tortilla, served with a side of avocado salsa verde and tortilla chips

    A jumbo flour tortilla stuffed with juicy flamed grilled chicken breast, diced onions, cilantro, refried beans, fresh jalapenos, sweet corn, mozzarella and cheddar jack cheese then toasted on our hot plancha, served with a trio of dippers; guacamole, sour cream and salsa roja

    Seasoned steak flame-grilled, sliced and topped with fresh cilantro, diced onions and avocado salsa verde

    5 Hour slow braised pork butt simmered with fresh garlic, onions, oranges, limes, premium cerveza and sweet Mexican Coke then fork shredded, topped with fresh cilantro, diced onions and a drizzle of avocado salsa verde

  • Blackened Tuna

    Tuna steak dusted with Cajun seasoning then pan seared blackened, topped with mango pineapple salsa, fresh guacamole and a drizzle of our homemade avocado cream

  • Fresh Fish Tacos

    Fresh locally caught fluke brought to us by The Lusty Lobster, breaded with crunchy panko then golden fried, topped with a fresh mango salsa, a drizzle of avocado cream and served inside 3 warm corn tortillas

     Slices of juicy steak, garlic and onions roasted low and slow for 3 hours then topped with chopped cilantro, diced onions and a fresh guacamole salsa, served on 3 warm corn tortillas.

     Juicy flame grilled chicken breast dusted with mojito lime seasoning then sliced and topped with fresh mango salsa, creamy guacamole, a drizzle of chipotle mayo and served on 3 warm corn tortillas.

     Bacardi Limon rum, homemade simple syrup, fresh muddled mint and limes finished with a splash of club soda

Chupacabra is located at 155 Brighton Ave. in Long Branch, NJ. Indoor dining is always available but our Customer Favorite Outdoor dining in the cantina is weather dependent

Are you dog friendly?

Well mannered pups are always welcome at Chupacabra for outside dining! Our pup friendly menu entrees are made fresh, in house and include items such as chicken, beef, rice, bacon, eggs and of course, peanut butter and bananas!

What do you suggest to drink?

We have an array of Margarita flavors available “Frozen” or “On the Rocks”. Start with a classic Margarita for a perfect pairing with our Birria Tacos
